Wilton International is a highly integrated multi-company and multi-industry site, and in order to allow the flow of products and services between these different entities, the site has an infrastructure that is second to none.

The site itself has over 120 kilometres of infrastructure corridor to carry pipelines, cables, and distribution systems around the site, and this is owned and managed by Sembcorp. With existing rights of access and planning consent the use of this “ready to go” infrastructure can bring significant time and financial benefits when it comes to getting new projects off the ground quickly.

The infrastructure network itself comprises pipe corridors, culverts, bridges, pipe supports, anchor blocks, together with cable routes and supports. This infrastructure not only serves the Wilton International site itself, but also spans across the industrial heartland of the Tees Valley.

Sembcorp owns a network of “offsite” infrastructure corridors including two tunnels crossing under the River Tees thus linking industry and the Port on the South of the river to industry and storage on the North of the Tees. With over 80 kilometers of “offsite” infrastructure corridors under Sembcorp ownership our reach expands well beyond the Wilton international site. Links exist between PD Teesport, Corus, Northumbrian Water’s effluent treatment plant at Bran Sands, two major international storage terminals at Seal Sands on the North bank of the Tees, the whole Seal Sands industrial corridor, together with routes to the two main industrial sites on the North bank of the Tees, these being North Tees works and Billingham.

As well as owning the infrastructure, Sembcorp has unrivalled expertise and experience when it comes to planning and optioneering associated with the infrastructure and logistical elements of projects across the Tees Valley.
